Sprouted from 17+ years of ukulele building experience, the Beansprout ukulele is easy to play, sounds loud but sweet and sports a simple yet beautiful aesthetic.  A focus on domestic woods, careful workmanship and a thin hand rubbed finish contribute to the feeling that this is a functional yet beautiful musical companion.  Available in four sizes and many woods.

SOPRANO ($1650) plus shipping

- 13.5” fret scale length with a 1920’s Lyon and Healy size body. Bright, charming and portable.

- 21” total length

Alto ($1750) plus shipping

- 14.72” fret scale with a body between soprano and concert size.  A unique voice, size and shape in the ukulele world. 

- 23.5" total length

Tenor ($1900) plus shippinG

- 17” fret scale and the most common ukulele size for adults. 

- 26" total length

Baritone ($2050) plus shippinG

- 20” fret scale, tuned DGBE.  A deeper, richer voice that still keeps the vibrance of a smaller ukulele. 

- 29" total length

Body Wood: 
Available body woods include Myrtle, Mahogany, Koa, Sycamore, Walnut, Maple, Cherry, Pistachio, Spruce, Cedar and more.  Most from salvaged, re-claimed or sustainable sources. Confused on what to pick? Click here for more info and some suggestions.  

Neck: Hand carved neck

Fretboard: Radiused Pistachio or Walnut fingerboard with 17 frets and black or white fret markers.  (Soprano 12 frets)

Tuning Machines: Gotoh geared brass and black  

Other features: Hardwood bridge, bone nut and saddle, fluorocarbon strings, brass strap button and wooden endpin included

Tuning:
- GCEA high g or low g for Soprano/Alto/Tenor
- DGBE high d or low d for Baritone

Case:
- Includes a hard shell case

Binding:
- Walnut, Maple, Myrtle, Pistachio or Rope
- No body binding (-$150)
